Hosting your site on WP Charged is now even more secure.

We’re proud to announce a new security enhancement for WP Charged customers. All WordPress plugins installed from the official plugin repository will have their files scanned and verified against WordPress.org’s version of the files. This means any malicious changes to plugins can be identified quickly (within 24hrs) and will be sent to support for investigation should any changes be found.

As well as plugin file change detection, WP Charged also scans WordPress core files for changes. These security measures significantly reduce the locations an attacker can hide malicious code in, on your WordPress website.

The scan is performed separate from WordPress, which means no extra plugins are required for this feature, making your site more secure. We believe we are the first WordPress host in NZ to offer this feature in this way.
